In order to ensure timely delivery of our Yellow bananas, we effectively combine sea, rail and road transport. Ships with bananas from South America regularly arrive at ports in Poland, Germany and Romania. The innovative intermodal solutions used significantly reduce delivery times and also minimise the CO2 impact on the environment.

We have built an intermodal terminal in Kodersdorf, 12 km from the company’s headquarters, with two loading ramps, a laydown track and a 1000 FEU yard for standard containers. At any one time, the terminal offers connection of up to 80 refrigerated containers.

In Gdańsk, the bananas are unloaded from the ship and taken directly to the cold store, which is also co-owned by Citronex. From the port they are collected by our own transport and transported to the ripening facility located in Pruszcz Gdański.

Our own fleet of 300 modern trucks compliant with the EURO 6 standard allows us to deliver fresh Yellow bananas to distribution centres in 12 European countries. Specialised staff working in offices in Poland, Romania and Hungary ensure timely deliveries and top quality service.

Our priority is to minimise the delivery time of ripe bananas, responding quickly to customers’ needs while taking care of the environment.
